MICHELLE MCGOLDRICK
AutographyC19 has been important to me because it has got me through lockdown and improved my mental health. Also meeting everyone who has autism also and making friends from the course has helped me a lot.
The workshop I enjoyed the most was session 4 pinhole camera building. I enjoyed this workshop the most because I found it very informative in learning how to build a pinhole camera from scratch. Also looking forward to completing this task in session 9.
My favourite artist or photographer is Tim Walker or Alexander McQueen.
My favourite types of art are theatrical types of art where there is a lot of drama and romance.
MIRTA I
For Autography C19 it was great to be part of a group and to use the photographic medium in a new way.
I enjoyed the workshops: My photo walk, Bill’s workshop our fingers are our tools, working with Das clay, experimenting making sculptures, experimenting with your sculptures in images, assembling paper photos. The workshops uploading film.
What I enjoyed about the workshop was experimentation and using ordinary objects, Das clay in a new way.
I also enjoyed that I got materials to do a workshop and a device so I could participate in the workshop and also a box of biscuits, drinks to keep me going during the lockdown, I am very grateful for that too.
When people look at my photographs I would like them to feel nostalgic, puzzled.
I like painting, photography, sculpture.
My favourite artist is Daido Moriyama.
SAFFRON SAIDI
The workshops I enjoyed taking part in the most were Session 4 & 9: The Making and Construction Of A Pinhole Camera .
What I particularly liked was using everyday objects like matchbox, card, electrical tape and tin can, old film canister used to create Pinhole Camera. The task was hands on and very practical.
AutographyC19 was important to me as the project enabled me to engage with other Austic Artists creating and participating in workshops Art / Photography based over Zoom.
It was the most enjoyable time I have had and kept me distracted from COVID-19 lockdown.
Photographs created with help of Autism.
My favorite Photographer is Diane Arbus and Artist is Yayoi Kusama.
My favourite types of Art are Abstract Painting, Photographic College , Sculpture and mixed media.

I have thoroughly enjoyed participating in this project, and have found it positive for my mental well-being.
I knew I would enjoy the photography element of this project – my creative side has been gently nurtured since a small child.
Furthermore, it’s lovely and quite sacred to have space where my ‘special’ moments don’t stand out, and it’s ‘socially’ acceptable to participate at a pace and to a level that is comfortable for me.
I’ve loved every session, but some of the elements that might have stood out for me a small degree more greatly included; cyanotypes, blind sculpting, digital collaging and the frame changes photography work; also using our reusable cameras! And I felt inspired by the different styles introduced by the visiting artists; it made it clear that my experimentation is only the beginning! An adventure still lies ahead!
THOMAS I
The Autography project has been really helpful to my mental well-being.
An example of how useful it has been is when I did work with the camera it got me out and made me feel happy within myself.
